Lily Jack Donates to Blue Butterfly Village
Lily Jack is honored to have donated beautiful new furniture for the Blue Butterfly Village in San Pedro, CA which will provide housing to homeless female veterans and their families. Volunteers of America is spending $15 million on this project to renovate existing US Navy family housing into 74 townhomes for eligible service women. In an article from the LA Times “Female veterans are the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population, according to the US Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2013, 4,456 of the nation’s nearly 58,000 homeless veterans were women, the Department of Housing and Urban Development reported.” Many thanks to Volunteers of America for creating a beautiful community for these honorable women to start a new life.
